Canva Craft (October 22, 2026) is the first image generation model from Canva Research, Canva's in-house AI lab. It uses a two-stage design: one stage plans the composition (elements, spatial layout, visual hierarchy and text), and a separate rendering model turns that plan into an image of up to 2K resolution in 30+ aspect ratios. It was trained on millions of human-made Canva templates such as posters, social posts, presentations and menus, and placed fourth on the Design Arena image leaderboard at launch.
